The risk

Plan for a disaster as a matter of when, not if

In Cayman, “disaster” doesn’t only mean a hurricane. Ransomware, a compromised account or an accidental deletion can stop a business just as quickly — and businesses without a tested recovery plan and working off-site backups may never fully recover.

Every organisation is different, so we work with you to understand what you can’t afford to lose, how quickly you need to be back up, and the right mix of backup, hosting and recovery to get you there.

What we provide

Everything you need to get back to work

Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace backupNightly backup of mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams files, kept for three years in Cayman. Included in every managed IT plan.

Server & PC backupImage-based backup of servers and computers, so a whole machine can be restored — not just its files.

Hosted servers & applicationsCustom virtual machine and application hosting (IaaS and PaaS) on-island, managed by our team.

Disaster recovery planningA written recovery plan covering hurricanes, cyberattacks and system failures, built around your priorities.

Regular recovery testingTest restores at least quarterly, and we take part in your own business continuity tests — because an untested backup is only a hope.

Off-island secondary copiesAn optional second copy outside Cayman, as an extra layer or an alternative — only with your agreement.

How we build your recovery plan

  1. Step 1AssessWhat systems and data you rely on, and how long you can be without them.
  2. Step 2DesignThe right mix of on-island backup, hosting and off-island copies.
  3. Step 3ImplementWe set it up, document it and monitor every backup job.
  4. Step 4Test & reviewRegular test restores and plan reviews, so it works when you need it.

Storm season

Hurricane-ready, before the forecast

We maintain our own business continuity plan, including hurricane preparedness, and test it every year. We help clients prepare the same way.

  • Business data in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or another backed-up location — not only on office PCs
  • UPS power protection for servers and network equipment
  • A second internet connection for automatic failover
  • A recovery plan your team knows, with a recent successful test

Backup & recovery questions

Where exactly is our data stored?

Backups and hosted systems are held in a hurricane-rated data centre in the Cayman Islands. We won’t move your backup data off-island without your written agreement, and we’ll always tell you where data under our control is stored.

Microsoft already stores our data. Why back it up?

Microsoft keeps the service running, but deleted files, ransomware and compromised accounts are your problem. An independent, three-year backup means you can restore what’s lost, whatever caused it.

How often do you test our backups?

We monitor every backup job and investigate failures, and we carry out test restores at least quarterly.

Can we keep a copy outside Cayman as well?

Yes. Off-island backup is available as a secondary copy or as an alternative, depending on your requirements.

How long could you be offline?

Let’s find out — and make sure the answer is “not long”.
